Breast Lift Surgery in Indianapolis & Carmel

Personalized breast rejuvenation designed to restore shape, support, and balance following pregnancy, weight loss, aging, or changes in skin elasticity.

At My Plastic Surgery Group, we take a personalized approach to breast lift surgery, also known as mastopexy, helping patients achieve a more elevated, balanced, and youthful breast contour without compromising natural proportions. Over time, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, aging, and genetics can contribute to loss of breast shape, skin elasticity, and position.

A breast lift reshapes and repositions the breast tissue to create a firmer, more refreshed appearance while improving overall breast symmetry and contour. Many patients choose breast lift surgery to help clothing fit more comfortably, restore confidence in their appearance, and achieve results that better reflect how they feel internally.

For patients seeking additional upper pole fullness or volume restoration, a breast lift can also be combined with breast implants to further enhance shape and projection. During your consultation, your surgeon will carefully evaluate your anatomy, skin quality, and aesthetic goals to determine the most appropriate surgical approach for your body

Breast Lift Pricing

Mastopexy pricing typically ranges from $7,100–$10,000 depending on surgical complexity and individualized treatment planning. Breast lift surgery combined with implants typically ranges from $14,000–$16,000. A consultation is required to provide a customized surgical quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since the nipple is not detached from the breast glands during this cosmetic procedure, the breast should still function normally. However, for many other biological reasons, some women are unable to breast feed.

If you have a significant history of breast cancer in your family or if you are over 40, a recent mammogram within the last year may be recommended prior to breast lift surgery

Breast lift surgery does not increase or decrease your risk of breast cancer.

The price of your mastopexy will depend on a number of factors. The chosen incision technique will impact breast lift cost, as will the amount of tissue removed and the amount of time required to perform the surgery.

Scars vary but are typically placed around the areola and may extend vertically. We prioritize careful techniques to help scars heal as discreetly as possible.
Yes. Smoking, vaping, nicotine gum, patches, chewing tobacco, and any nicotine-containing product should be stopped at least 8 weeks before surgery. Nicotine significantly reduces blood flow and oxygen delivery to healing tissues, which can increase the risk of poor wound healing, delayed recovery, infection, sin loss, and more noticeable scarring after procedures such as a breast lift. For the safest healing and best surgical results, patients must remain completely nicotine free before and after surgery as directed by their surgeon.
Breast lift results are long-lasting, with many patients enjoying their results for years. A breast lift can restore a more youthful breast shape and position, but natural aging, gravity, pregnancy, weight fluctuations, and skin elasticity will continue to affect the breasts over time. Maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle can help preserve your breast lift results and keep your outcome looking firmer and more youthful for longer.

Sometimes a temporary loss is seen, having mostly to do with swelling. Permanent loss is uncommon.

A breast lift without implants lifts what you have. A breast implant adds volume, nicely shaping the upper breast. Mastopexy and implant placement can be done together or separately. When a breast lift and augmentation are performed during the same procedure, it is known as a breast augmentation with lift. Pairing a breast lift and implants results in only a single healing period.

Breast Lift Procedure Information

Mastopexy, or breast lift, is an outpatient surgical procedure done to lift and firm the breast using incisions around the areola, vertically down the lower portion of the breast and, often, horizontally along the fold.
Should you have a breast lift? Ultimately, that’s a decision that only you can make. We hope, after speaking with us, you will have all of the information you need to make that decision. Commonly, it is the person who looks at themselves with clothes on, as well as with clothes off, and sees saggy boobs that used to be firm, perky breasts that will generally decide to have breast lift surgery. From years of experience our surgeons know that breast lifts are desired by women who have lost their breast firmness for reasons such as pregnancy, breast feeding, weight changes, medications, or prolonged absence of bra support.

Breast Lift Recovery

Recovery from breast lift surgery is very patient-specific. We expect that normal activities will be resumed as quickly as each individual can tolerate it. Swelling may last up to 6 weeks after mastopexy surgery, and you should be prepared for your nipple and skin sensation to be altered temporarily. Rest assured, all of these issues and more will be discussed thoroughly during your initial consultation with the physician. It is best to follow your physician’s post-surgical care directions as closely as possible.
